While fresh in my mind, I wanted to share a follow up to my recent Fertility Matters work.

We wanted to hold this community event to create connection and awareness. I will savour this connection, honouring the impact that I can make, and cherishing the support all around me!

As a community we gathered – acknowledging the complexity of grief, the depth of love, and the value in vulnerability. Collectively, we acknowledged our pain and challenges while supported by others. When we feel seen, we flourish. Sharing our experiences can help us, as well as help others feel less alone.

We are so grateful for the support of this community! Thank you to everyone that was able to join us for our first ever Fertility Matters Community Walk!

Thank you to the amazing people that joined our team and helped fundraise!

Thank you to everyone that made a donation!!!

We named our team ‘On Fertile Ground’ after our local, collaborative fertility program which includes myself, Amy Scott - Straight 2 The Point Osteopathy & Wellness Clinic, and Mason & Chelsea of The Health Creation Lab. Through community support we raised $6,555, which is beyond what we ever anticipated!

Donations will help advocate for more equitable access to fertility funding across all provinces, and to better identify and change the barriers to care, empowering Canadians to reach their fertility goals. The 6K distance represents the 6 million Canadians or 1 in 6 struggling to build their families. Fertility needs to be honoured and supported!

Our ideas are swirling! We look forward to next year as we continue to grow and raise awareness as a community. I’m deeply grateful for your support. Colleen
