The breath connects you to yourself and to your environment. In times of uncertainty, allow your breath to become a powerful centering tool. Refining the breath refines the mind. It's physiologically impossible to be anxious and relaxed at the same time. A consistent breathwork and restorative practice is extremely effective in reducing anxiety and stress.
In a culture gripped with fear and anxiety, choosing conscious stillness is a radical act. - Judith Hanson Lasater
Join me to Breathe & Restore! Each session will blend gentle movement, breathwork, and restorative postures.
Move ~ Each week we will practice a few specific yoga postures (asana) to work on a targeted area of the body as a way to prepare for our breathing practice (pranayama).
Breathe ~ We will practice breathing techniques that are proven to calm the nervous system, balance hormones, lower blood pressure, still the mind, and bring balance to the body.
Restore ~ You will learn how to practice breathwork in a supported restorative pose as a way to open yourself up to the breath from a space of relaxation.

This 4-Week Series is an invitation to learn:
This series weaves the practice of breathwork and restorative yoga into our lives at a time when our presence, connection and wisdom is needed. Not only do we practice for ourselves but also for our family and for the world; when we change and grow, it ripples out to the world.
