
In Rhythm with Nature is a one-day retreat designed to help you step away from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with nature’s rhythms while listening to the quiet wisdom within.
Held during the fresh energy of spring and the reflective phase of the new moon, this day invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in practices that restore balance, renew your energy, and awaken creativity.
Through yoga, meditation, nature, and art, you will be gently guided to release what no longer serves you and create space for new intentions and possibilities to take root.
Inspired by the elements of nature and the wisdom of the energetic body, our time together supports balance on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
From the moment you arrive, you will feel the peaceful energy that makes Willow Roots such a special place to gather.
Surrounded by trees, water, and the quiet rhythms of nature, this location offers a unique and nurturing environment for retreat and reflection.
This beautifully restored two-level barn blends modern design with rustic charm to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Exposed wooden beams and large windows fill the space with natural light, inviting the outside in.
Willow Roots is located just 10 minutes south of Grand Bend.
We begin the day gathered in circle, creating a sacred container for our time together.
Through gentle energy clearing and an invocation of the four directions and elements, we will ground ourselves in the present moment, honour the land, and set personal intentions for the day.
Guided by Colleen Thakkar, Wander Within Yoga & Wellness
This slow flow and yin yoga session draws inspiration from the elements, chakras, and senses to restore balance within the energetic body.
We will journey from the root chakra upward to the crown, visualizing and sensing the rise of energy through the body. In this sequence, Colleen incorporates mindful movement, intentional holds, breathwork, mudra, mantra, and meditation for reflection and integration.
From a place of connection and harmony, this practice invites a state of coherence where clarity, inner guidance, creativity, and joy can emerge with ease.

Enjoy a nourishing seasonal lunch and refreshments prepared and served by Chef Paresh of Personal Touch Eatery & Catering.
This is a time to relax, integrate the morning practices, and connect with others.

Following lunch, we will step outside for a quiet nature walk. Moving in silence and without devices, this practice invites you to connect with the elements, awaken your senses, and experience the restorative power of simply being in nature.

Guided by Artist & Intuitive Medium Dayna Dekroon
In the afternoon, Dayna will guide the Art of Surrender workshop exploring the beauty of watercolour.
This workshop encourages playful exploration and freedom from perfection or outcome, allowing water and pigment to move naturally and create organic blends and textures.
Through creative mindfulness and experimentation, you will create your own set of watercolour affirmation cards inspired by the elements and chakras.
No artistic experience is needed — only curiosity and an open mind.

We will close the day together in circle with reflection, integration, and celebration of the creative journey we have shared.

Founder of Wander Within Yoga & Wellness, Colleen specializes in yoga and reiki for women’s health. She shares therapeutic and restorative yoga practices that support deep rest, nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and reconnection.
Her work is deeply inspired by nature’s rhythms and the wisdom of the feminine body.

Dayna is passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves through art. She guides creative experiences that invite participants to reconnect with their imagination, intuition, and the joy of self-expression.
She believes everyone is creative, and that creativity is essential to wellbeing.
